Regulations for Journal Publications

Article 1 (Publication of the Journal)
The Korean Society of Manufacturing Process Engineers (hereinafter “Society”) will periodically publish the Journal of the Korean Society of Manufacturing Process Engineers (hereinafter “Journal”) to promote research and academic activities in the manufacturing and production system. In principle, the Journal will be published every month, at a frequency of 12 issues annually, on the last day of each month (January 31st, February 28th, March 31st, April 30th, May 31st, June 30th, July 31st, August 31st, September 30th, October 31st, November 30th, and December 31st.)

Article 2 (Requirements)
1. The manuscripts in the Journal must be any research related to manufacturing and production systems by principle and not announced or published in any other publications or academic magazines.
2. Depending on characteristics, manuscripts in the Journal may be categorized as “Research Papers” or “Review Articles.”
3. A study that is not published in any other journal, is fact-based, and can contribute to the manufacturing industry is categorized as a “Research Paper.” A Research Paper will be categorized as a “Paper” if it is academically unique and as a “Technical Paper” if it has high applicability.
4. A manuscript that is a review of a specific technology or research trend in the manufacturing industry will be categorized as a “Review Article.”

Article 3 (Style and Submission)
All manuscript must comply with the [Manuscript Submission Regulations] of the Society for style and submission.

Article 4 (Application)
1. The manuscript can be submitted at any time, but the date of receipt is defined as the arrival date in the Society.
2. The Society can refuse to accept a submission if it does not comply with [Instructions for Authors], and the Society is not responsible for any returns.

Article 5 (Editorial Board)
The formation of the Editorial Board to address any general matters related to the publication of the Journal shall be in accordance with the [Rules of the Editorial Board].

Article 6 (Review)
1. The submitter must make a request to the Society to complete the review within twenty (20) days after the date of receipt.
2. Any matters related to the review process shall be in accordance with the [Article Review Guidelines].
3. If the author does not re-submit within two (2) months after the announcement is made, the submission will be canceled.

Article 7 (Publication)
1. Once the publication is confirmed upon the final review, the author must submit the final document file to the Society.
2. The manuscript must be six (6) pages in principle, and the author is charged a small publication fee. Additional charges per page are charged for manuscripts that exceed this length limit.
3. Any manuscripts completed with financial support or grants must add an additional fifty percent (50%) to the publication charge during submission.
4. The publication order of manuscripts should be based on the order of acceptance for publication. Articles for publication must be selected by the editorial board fifteen (15) days before the publication date.
5. The Society holds all the rights for all articles that are published by it.

Article 8 (Others)
Items not specified in this Regulation shall be subject to the decision of the Editorial Board.

제1조 (학회지의 발간)
본 학회는 기계가공 및 생산공학 분야의 연구와 학술활동의 증진을 위하여 정기적인 학술지로서 한국기계가공학회지를 발간한다. 발간 횟수는 연 12회 이상을 원칙으로 하며, 발간일은 연12회의 경우 1월 31일, 2월 28일, 3월 31일, 4월 30일, 5월31일, 6월 30일, 7월 31일, 8월 31일, 9월 30일, 10월 31일, 11월 30일, 12월 31일로 한다.

제2조 (논문의 요건)
1. 논문은 기계가공 및 생산공학 분야와 관련된 연구를 원칙으로 하며, 타 학술지 나 잡지 등에 발표되지 않은 것이어야 한다.
2. 한국기계가공학회지의 논문은 그 성격에 따라 ‘연구 논문’과 ‘리뷰 기사’로 분류한다.
3. 다른 저널에 발표되지 않았으며, 확실한 사실에 기반하여, 기계가공에 기여할 수 있는 논문을 ‘연구 논문’으로 분류한다. 연구 논문은 학문적으로 독창성이 높을 경우 ‘논문’으로, 응용성이 높은 논문은 ‘기술논문’으로 분류한다.
4. 기계가공과 관련한 특정 분야에 대한 기술 혹은 연구 동향에 대한 논문을 ‘리뷰 기사’로 분류한다.

제3조 (원고 작성 및 투고)
원고의 작성과 투고는 본 학회의 [논문 투고 규정]을 준수하여야 한다.

제4조 (원고의 접수)
1. 원고는 수시로 접수하며, 접수일은 원고가 본 학회에 도착하는 날로 한다.
2. [원고 집필요강]에 맞지 않는 원고는 접수를 거부할 수 있으며, 학회는 원고 반환의 책임을 지지 아니한다.

제5조 (편집위원회)
학회지 발간과 관련된 제반 업무를 담당하기 위한 편집위원회의 구성은 본 학회의 [편집위원회 규정]에 따른다.

제6조 (논문의 심사)
1. 투고 논문은 접수일로부터 20일 이내에 심사를 의뢰한다.
2. 논문 심사와 관련된 제반 사항은 본 학회의 [논문심사규정]에 따른다.
3. 논문 심사 결과를 주저자에게 통보한 후 2개월이 경과하도록 수정본이 도착하지 않을 경우에는 투고를 취소 처리할 수 있다.

제7조 (논문의 게재)
1. 최종 심사 결과 게재가 확정된 경우, 논문의 주저자는 최종원고파일을 학회에 제출하여야 한다.
2. 게재될 논문의 기본 면수는 6면으로 하며, 소정의 게재료를 납부한다. 기본 면수를 초과한 경우는 초과 면수에 대한 추가 게재료를 납부하여야 한다.
3. 용역 또는 지원금으로 작성된 논문은 게재료의 50%를 가산하여 납부하여야 한다.
4. 심사 완료된 논문은 원칙적으로 논문 심사가 완료된 순서로 하여 발간하며, 해당 호에 발간할 논문의 선정은 논문집 발간일 15일 이전에 편집이사회를 통하여 결정한다.
5. 논문이 학술지에 게재 시 저작권은 학회에서 갖게 된다.

제8조 (기타)
본 규정에 명시되지 않은 사항은 편집위원회의 결정에 따른다.
