Regulations on Manuscript Submission

Article 1 (Purpose)
The purpose of this regulation is to outline the process for submitting a manuscript to the Journal of the Korean Society of Manufacturing Process Engineers (hereinafter referred to as the “journal”).

Article 2 (Types of Manuscript)
The following types of manuscripts are eligible for publication in the journal, and the specific type shall be indicated during submission.
1. Research manuscript: A manuscript that has not been previously published in other journals, is grounded in reliable facts and has the potential to benefit manufacturing process engineers
2. Review article: A review article focusing on technological advancements or research trends in a specific area relevant to manufacturing process engineers

Article 3 (Writing a Manuscript)
1. The submitted manuscripts must comply with the research ethics guidelines of the journal.
2. The submitted manuscripts must adhere to the journal’s format, including the abstract structure and length, and must comply with the journal’s manuscript preparation guidelines.
3. The abstract must be written in English and must not exceed 200 words.
4. The editorial staff may edit the manuscript accepted for publication according to the writing guidelines.

Article 4 (Submitting a Manuscript)
1. The corresponding author or the first author (hereafter referred to as the author) may submit a manuscript at any time through the society’s online submission system.
2. The manuscript's submission date is when the author completes the submission of the manuscript to the manuscript submission system.

Article 5 (Manuscript Review Process)
1. All manuscripts submitted to the journal undergo peer review, which is carried out through the society's manuscript submission system.
2. Details of peer review are subject to the regulations on manuscript review.
3. A manuscript reviewed and edited within two months from the submission date can only be published after being reevaluated by the editorial committee.

Article 6  (Procedure for Copyright Transfer and Specification of Rights)
1.Submitted manuscripts will not be returned, and the copyright of all published papers shall belong to the Korean Society of Manufacturing Process Engineers (KSMPE).
2.Upon submission of the final revised manuscript, the author shall be deemed to have transferred the copyright and digital rights of the paper to KSMPE by signing and submitting the Copyright Transfer Agreement.
3. The published paper may be distributed by the Society in printed or electronic form.

Article 7 (Others)
Matters not specified in these regulations are subject to the decision of the editorial committee.

제1조 (목적)
이 규정은 한국기계가공학회지(이하 학회지)에 논문을 투고하는 절차를 정하는 것을 목적으로 한다.

제2조 (논문의 종류)
학회지에서 출판 가능한 논문의 종류는 아래와 같으며, 투고 시 종류를 지정해야 한다.
1. 연구 논문: 다른 저널에 발표되지 않았으며, 확실한 사실에 기반하며, 기계가공에 기여할 수 있는 논문
2. 리뷰 기사: 기계가공과 관련한 특정 분야에 대한 기술 혹은 연구 동향의 대한 리뷰 기사

제3조 (논문 작성)
1. 투고되는 논문은 학회지의 연구윤리 규정을 준수해야 한다.
2. 투고되는 논문은 학회지의 논문 양식을 따라야하며, 초록 작성 방법 및 분량을 포함하여 학회지의 논문 원고 집필요강을 준수해야 한다.
3. 논문의 초록(Abstract)은 영문으로 작성하여야 하며, 200단어 이내로 작성하여야 한다.
4. 편집진이 게재가 수락된 논문을 집필요강에 따라 편집할 수 있다.

제4조 (논문 투고)
1. 논문의 주저자 또는 교신저자(이하 저자)는 학회의 온라인 논문투고시스템을 통하여 언제든지 논문을 투고할 수 있다.
2. 논문의 투고 일자는 저자가 논문투고시스템에 해당 논문의 투고를 완료한 일자로 한다.

제5조 (논문 심사과정)
1. 학회지에 투고되는 모든 논문은 동료심사를 거친다. 동료심사는 학회의 논문투고시스템을 통해서 진행된다.
2. 동료심사에 관한 자세한 사항은 논문심사 규정을 따른다.
3. 논문 투고일로부터 2개월이 경과하지 아니한 상태에서 심사 및 편집 과정을 모두 마친 논문은 편집위원회 회의의 재검토를 받아야 게재될 수 있다.

제6조 (저작권 활용 동의 절차 및 권한명세)
1. 투고된 논문은 반환하지 않으며, 학회지에 게재된 모든 논문의 저작권은 (사)한국기계가공학회에 귀속된다.
2. 저자는 최종 수정된 원고를 송부 시, 저작권 이양동의서에 서명하여 첨부로 제출함으로써 해당 논문의 저작권 및 디지털 저작권에 대한 권한 행사를 (사)한국기계가공학회에 이양한 것으로 간주한다.
3. 출판된 논문은 학회에 의하여 인쇄물 또는 전자적인 형태로 유포될 수 있다.

제7조 (기타)
본 규정에 명시되지 않은 사항은 편집위원회의 결정에 따른다.
